Romantic Gypsophila Flower Clouds for a White Wedding in a Cotswold Marquee

From the moment I met with Emily & Joe, I knew their Wedding day would be special. After our initial consultation, I gathered that the brief was traditional with a contemporary twist. A white wedding, but make it different.

And that’s exactly what we did through careful planning and design.

There is no denying the gypsophila flower clouds stole the floral show of the day, in the majestic Cirencester Church, and afterwards at the exclusive Bathurst Estate.

Making an impact in a space as vast as a cathedral can be difficult, but with the use of one singular bloom, we were able to create a beautiful frame to the couple during their ceremony. The broken arch was complimented with mini puffs of gypsophila at the pew ends. Along with this, and the endless lit hurricane vases, the atmosphere was magical and still; as if you could hear a pin drop.

Speechless at how perfect you made it

Making an Entrance at the Bathurst Estate

Like many of our marquee weddings, we were challenged with extreme heat in the blazing July sunshine. However on this occasion due to the hardy nature of gypsolphila, the only thing we needed to worry about wilting was us!

Gypsophila is a great option for summer weddings, as it can be out of water for a long time, which makes working with it flexible, and also very lightweight…..perfect for hanging over your favourite peoples’ heads!

The Bathurst Estate is the private home of Lord & Lady Bathurst in the heart of Cirencester, and its buildings and grounds speak for themselves. Joe & Emily chose florals of elegance and simplicity that did not distract from the beauty of the surroundings. Home to the Worlds Tallest Yew Hedge, The Bathurst Estate was a wonderful place to work, and we were treated like Ladies of the Manor during the installation by being invited to join the family for food.

We are all too aware that we are often sharing private spaces with the wedding party, and we often discreetly sneak away for our refreshments. But being invited to join Joe and Emily and their family shows just how much we had become friends throughout the planning process.

We were so very lucky to not only have you as our floral designer but as part of our special day. Thank you forever.

Since working with Joe & Emily, and also Willow Crossley at Chelsea in Bloom, we have designed and installed countless more Gypsophila installations in a wide variety of venues across Warwickshire and the Cotswolds. Each Bride & Groom has a vision, and we are grateful that we get to deliver that vision.
